Lawyer’s Prayer

Lord, help me as I practice law to do the best I can,
to always use it for the good to help my fellow man.

May I work within the law to guard the precious rights,
of those who have entrusted me to settle their legal fights.

Let me not abuse my knowledge or use it just for gain,
But protect my fellow citizens and help to ease their pain.

Lord, let me practice your laws first, that everyone shall see,
the kind of Godly lawyer that you would have me be.

Celebrate Recovery Serenity Prayer

God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference.  Living one day at a time, enjoying one moment at a time; accepting hardship as a pathway to peace; taking, as Jesus did, this sinful world as it is, not as I would have it; trusting that You will make all things right if I surrender to Your will, so that I may be reasonably happy in this life and supremely happy with you forever in the next.  Amen.
